Although this book is geared for young readers, I at 54 really enjoyed the historical journey through the oceans of the world and the events that were pertinent to the time periods. Not only did the reader learn about whaling as an industry, but geography, literature, civil rights and cultural societies. In my opinion, it was an excellent read in both educational and literary enjoyment!
