Set in L.A. in the early 1990's - Detective Harry Bosch draws the short straw and is called out to what looks like just another junky's death. Things get personal real quick, as Harry is the one who IDs the body - a fellow 'tunnel rat' from Viet Nam. Author Michael Connelly does his usual round-abouts, casting doubt and suspicion on everyone within a stone's throw of Harry. We get a pretty good glimpse into Harry's background through flashbacks. Overall this was a good story - not TOO many twists and turns as some of Connelly's other books. Added bonus was listing to Dick Hill narrate.

Another wonderful Hieronymous "Harry" Bosch book.
Bosch discovers a dead body found in a drainage pipe (which turns out to be his comrade from Vietnam) Nothing is what it appears to be and Bosch suspects foul play. There are numerous twists and turns. I have read these "Harry" Bosch books over and over. I never get tired of them.
