This was a great mystery. I always have enjoyed the Richard Jury series but this one was outstanding.

This is another literate, stylish mystery with the usual cast of characters, including engaging dogs and cats!

Enjoyed this until the last 30-40 pages. All of the explanations of who did what and when got a little tedious. I actually didn't mind the cat and dog 'dialogue'-interesting for the most part.

Pleased to see the mysterious, affable, dangerous Harry Johnston, and Mungo the Dog, Schrödinger & Elf (cats) back again. As always, Grimes picks an approach different from previous novels & doesn't disappoint this time - this time being the world of fashionista shoes, like Manolo Blahlink, Jimmy Choo. Nice twist at end. These books give me undue pleasure to read!
