This is a book of horror and dark fantasy short stories, although I personally thought many in the dark fantasy half could qualify as horror also. Some stories were more original than others, with some, like the award-winning "Cram" being excellent. It was worth reading if you enjoy short fiction.

I expected this collection to be fantastic based on the raves that were on the book itself and online from critics and horror writers alike. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't as great as the reviews made it seem. It apparently won some awards, but I've read more deserving than this. One story in the book about living celebrity lawn ornaments was ridiculously stupid. Anyway not bad, but not fantastic either.

I have to say I found pretty much all of these stores disturbing, and some even really sick to read. Not a book I would recomend to my friends, but i'm sure there is someone out there who might like it. I'm an avid horror fan and read all types of books, but this one really wasn't my cup of tea....
