I haven't read this since I was a kid fascinated with horses, but I remember it well. I was enchanted by the story of Black Beaty, and despite the long read, I couldn't put the book down. The other stories were interesting but a bit of a let-down after having read such a beautifully detailed work as Black Beauty.
