This book was kind of up and down for me. There were times when I felt really into it and others when it seemed to just drag on. Overall, it was a good (not great) read. The characters were well-developed and I did enjoy the author's writing style, but I found the conclusion to be a bit disappointing.
Bittersweet is the story of the wealthy Winslow family and Mabel Dagmar, who becomes a friend to Genevra Ev Winslow when they become college roommates. The Winslow's life and their retreat in Vermont is, for Mabel, the stuff of dreams. However, as she gets closer, she discovers secrets that tarnish that dream. A somewhat familiar storyline set in a beautiful Vermont setting.
