Well, I thought this was book 11 in Lynsay Sands' Argeneau Series so I actually bought the book at the bookstore. Discovered it's really 3 short stories with Lynsay Sands' being just the first. :-(
"Vampire Valentine" by Lynsay Sands is Tiny and Mirabeau's story. It's just OK. It could have been much better written with more depth and made up a whole book. You learned a good back-story on Mirabeau but her emotional depth at finding a lifemate was pretty flat. I got the feeling Ms. Sands was either bored or just pushing this one out on a lark. The story does pick up where the 10th book left off and you do get a bit of an update on the other (numerous) characters from prior books. Nothing steamy, a few laughs, but I was left disappointed.
"Hearts Untamed" by Pamela Palmer was interesting. More paranormal romance and a good introduction to this author. Think shapeshifting/animal/immortals.
"Kiss and Kill" Cupid by Jamie Rush was a suspensful, contemporary, romance. Some sexy scenes too.
Overall 2.5 stars

Multi author anthology. I bought this for the Lynsay Sands story and honestly it was the only one that I really liked. For those of you who follow the Argeneau series - the hero is Tiny who was introduced in A Bite To Remember as the heroine's partner. He has appeared in several subsequent novels and now Marguerite, the ultimate matchmaker, launches her plan to find him a lifemate...

Hearts Untamed by Pamela Palmer - hooks into her Feral Warriors series.

Kiss and Kill Cupid by Jamie Rush - appears to be a stand alone but I'm not familiar with the author.

Bitten by Cupid is an anthology featuring Lindsay Sands, Pamela Palmer and Jamie Rush. I only read the last two novellas in the book. I just couldn't get into the first story by Lindsay Sands.

Title: Hearts Untamed
Author: Pamela Palmer
Rating: B-
Sensuality: Warm

Hearts Untamed is part of Pamela Palmer's Feral Warriors series. Julianna is being blackmailed to find particular piece of jewelry. To complicate matters the one man she loved and offered virginity to is returning after ten years, but he left because he didn't return Julianna's love. What Julianna doesn't realize is that Zee left for a completely different reason.

This was my first introduction to the Feral Warriors series. Julianna is one of those heroines who gets on my nerves. She deliberately assumes the worst about a situation and then determines that she must handle the problem completely alone. She pulls away from the hero for most of the story. What saves this story is that Zee doesn't listen to Julianna and pushes her enough that she finally gives into him. I also thought that for a short story and this being my first introduction to the world building, the author did a really nice job of filling in the blanks without overwhelming the reader.

Title: Kiss and Kill Cupid
Author: Jamie Rush
Rating: B
Sensuality: Warm

Kiss and Kill Cupid is an off shoot of Jamie Rush's Offspring series. I have read the first two books in the Offspring series and these characters are new. It's not necessary to have read any of the other Offspring books. Kristy Morgan is interviewing for a job as a writer for a popular adventure magazine. She has the ability to hear other people's thoughts and she hears a serial killer's thoughts to make her his next victim. Kristy isn't sure if her employer Adrian might be the killer, never mind that he is attractive.

I enjoyed this short story for the mystery. It's a quick and easy read with good pacing and a good solid mystery. It isn't too terribly hard to guess who the killer is, but the delivery worked for me. The chemistry between Kristy and Adrian was good for a shorter novel, but the staying power of the relationship is questionable because of the strenuous circumstances of them meeting.

I really liked the first and third stories. The first because it's part of Lynsay Sands' 'Argeneau Vampires' series. We want all of them to find their life mates! The third was just enjoyable to read. I really liked the main character's personality and it took me a little bit of work to figure out who the bad guy was. The second one was okay, but I haven't really liked any stories involving animal transformations. Just not my thing.

Vampire Valentine by Lynsay Sands Argeneau 12.5 (from Anthology: Bitten by Cupid)

Marguerite Argeneau is at it again, if she keeps up her matchmaking, they are going to run out of enforcers. This time she set her eyes on Tiny McGraw and Maribeau La Roche.

They were at the wedding in New York where several of the new life mate couples were finally getting married, when Marguerite informed him that she Maribeau could be his life mate so she had asked Lucian to put him with her on this assignment.

The assignment was Stephanie McGill. She had been attacked by a no-fanger and he was still after the fourteen year old girl. Who sister, Dani, is Decker's life mate.

Ive only ready the Lynsay Sands story for now, reading them in order, and It is about Mirabeau and Tiny McGraw, they are teaming up (from Margarets advice, you know what that means?) to save Dani's sister Stephine, by taking her to Port Henry where Victor and Elvi can take and watch over her.
