This book took me awhile to get into, but turned out good. I really like Nixies smart-mouth. She kept it going.

Nixie is chosen by the Mayor to organize and run a town fund-raiser, to pay for attorney fees, needed to block the small town from annexation unto Chicago. But Nixie finds herself drawn to the uptight, buttoned-down big city lawyer, Julian Emerson. Sparks fly. Then Nixie learns that Julian is not so uptight...and a vampire.
The story is cute, and funny. But sometimes the attempt at humor drags the story down. Not a bad read. Sex scenes are scorching. Nice HEA.
