The 3rd installment in the adventures of Jody and Tommy, your favorite bloodsucking fiends, is a marked fall-off from the first two. That's not to say it isn't worth reading. Fans of Christopher Moore's characters and imaginative storytelling will find "Bite Me" to be familiarly unfamiliar territory. But I think that the stakes of the novel are somewhat lost over the many, many intertwining plot lines.
I could not wait for this book to be released & I was not disappointed. I would recommend reading Bloodsucking Fiends & You Suck prior to reading this installment. Although the prior books events are reviewed, it makes the book much more enjoyable & easier to understand. I laughed out loud through most of the book. The only complaint was the dialouge of Abby Normal. Although she is a teen, the very repetative use of some of the slang became annoying at times. Otherwise, this was such a funny, unique, vampire love story. My fave was Chet the vampire cat!! I hope there are more books in the series!!
This was a laugh out loud typical C.M. book..I agree that Abby's dialogue got a bit tiresome, but it is easy to overcome..Loved it and would recommend any C.M. fan to read it :)

The 3rd book of the Bloodsucking Fiends series. I really enjoyed reading this one ALOT, my only issue was having to read in "Abby lingo" ('Kayso!) Once I got over that, it was the laugh out loud, funny story line that reels me into Moore's writing! So glad I came across this author and his books!
Horrible!!!! The valley girl talk was annoying after the first page. Like I couldn't get past like the first page. It read like it was written by a 16 year old. Looking forward to getting rid of this horrible book.
This is the last of a trilogy and definitely the best of the three. It's very funny, the laugh-out-loud kind. You won't be able to put it down. Christopher Moore is a wonderful author.
A great vampire story! Christopher Moore has a wonderful sense of humor and the book is a quick, entertaining read.
Really funny vampire novel. Twisted love story.
Christopher Moore does it again! This book is laugh out loud hilarious! Most of the book is told from the point of view of "Abby Normal," a goth Valley Girl, who wants nothing more than to be "Nosferatu" and spend her life being Mistress of the Greater Bay Area Night and going "Raaarrr" to those around her.
When we last left Abby and her manga-haired love monkey, Foo Dog, they had trapped "The Countess and Lord Flood" in bronze statues and were living in the love lair deciding what their next move should be. They quickly learn they have gotten in way over their heads when they discover that Chet is a vampire cat and is quickly turning other cats to the dark side and eating several people along the way. Plus, Jody and Tommy are gonna be REALLY pissed when they get out of the bronze statues. And then there are those ass-hat cops Rivera and Cavuto who are snooping around...seriously, could life get any more sucky?
Sadly, I think this is the last story in the series as this book ties up many loose ends and pretty much cleans house. One can only hope there will be more, but it doesn't feel like it. Do yourself a favor and read this series, starting with BLOODSUCKING FIENDS, followed by YOU SUCK and then BITE ME.

'kayso.. This is my first by the author & honestly, I almost quick reading it after about 25 pages.. I found it hard to follow & quite irritating.. HOWEVER, I am glad that I stuck with it.. as I really enjoyed it & belly laughed while reading it. Once I figured out the "lingo" it was quite good & I will be reading more of his books.
