I enjoyed this last book in the series, but the ending was a bit bumbling. I felt like Jimmy would have done a bit more to find his real family than he did. In a close knit community like the one he was in he would have quickly stumbled upon someone that knew the details. In the end to me it just came off as a way to stretch the book. I still liked the book and the series and look forward to reading others by this author.

I read all three book in this series and could't wait to get to the next one and longed for more after the last one. Excellent Amish fiction.

Enjoyed this book; good quick read. It definitely follows the "formula" for this writer but it is a nice part of a series.

This book, THE BISHOP'S DAUGHTER - DAUGHTERS OF LANCASTER COUNTY, BK 3, was just as well written as Wanda E. Brunstetter's other books about Amish life. Besides being a good romance story, it also included a lot of customs and facts about the lives of the Amish and I found this to be very interesting. I would definitely recommend it as a very good Amish romance book to read.

I think this Series by Wanda Brunstetter was my favorite by far. I loved her other books but this one made you not want to put the books down.

I liked the story and was eager to see how it ended. It was interesting to see how someone who was adopted would feel at finding out for the first time. I also enjoyed reading about the Amish people. You hear how hard working and pious they are but I was surprised to learn how warm and affectionate they are.

Wanda Brunstetter is a wonderful author. This is a book about an adopted young man who goes seeking his biological parents, after a living his entire childhood believing he was living with his biological family. What he finds is not what you expect. The book kept me riveted!!

The 3rd and last in the series "Daughters of Lancaster County"; This is even better then the first and second brings you to the unsuspecting climax. As you continue learning about the Amish way of life. The little boy who was kidnaped at one years of age find out his parents are not his blood parents and goes east looking for his true identity and family. A must read if you are into learning the plain way of life. There is nothing plain about this book. dg

Another lovely book about the Amish. This is book 3 of the Daughters of Lancaster County series. I haven't read any of Wanda Brunstetter's books I haven't loved.
Best of the three book series. It jumps quite a ways in time from the others though.

The last book in the trilogy, this is the story of Leona and Jimmy. Jimmy struggles to find who he really is and where he belongs in the world. Leona struggles with personal pain and heartache. A touching love story and a nice wrap up to the trilogy. A very enjoyable read.
