My child loves this author. We have her "Yummy, Yucky" book and even though we've had it for a few years, it's still a standard bedtime storybook.
The "Birthday Box" is about a toddler who gets a puppy for his birthday. However, as most kids this age, he's more interested in the box in which the puppy came. He and the puppy do all sorts of fun things with the box. At the end of the day the child falls asleep saying "Today was my birthday and I got a box."
This is a good book for a toddler to a preschooler. This board book is cute, simple, and well-illustrated.
