Although this book covered several topics in which I am typically interested (the biology of birds, the history of the American Western natives, home construction, and so on) I found the book amazingly...boring. It was hard to get through because of the plodding pace of the narrative.
At first I didn't like it, but I read a few more chapters and I really liked it.
