And whilst we sojourn in the house of our pilgrimage, we may be absolutely certain that if God gave His Son to die for us, there is, of course, nothing that He will withhold from us that can contribute to make us happy. He has nothing so great as what He has already given. When He sets us at the head of all the hosts of heaven, He gives us nothing so expensive as what He gave in the death of His own Son. If, then, God intends to make a display of the riches of His favour towards us, how glorious must be the exhibition !
