A quick and easy read. A good book for tha fan of CSI. I love the show but there was something missing in this book. Something about the way that they portray Grissom just doesn't feel right. Other than that it is a good book. The CSI's with Jim Brass invstigate one of Brass's original cases from 14 years ago that he never solved. It was about a serial killer. It appears that he has resurfaced and started a whole new round of terror.

Another quick, easy read (I read this one in the course of a day), BINDING TIES has a great storyline and better editing and character development than the last CSI story I read.
Reading this book is a lot like watching an episode of my favorite show. I'm anxious to get my hands on more titles based on CSI.

From the back cover: Ten years ago, Las Vegas was terrorized by "CASt" - a vicious serial killer responsible for nearly half a dozen brutal murders, and who tested the mettle of the LVPD's new Captain, Jim Brass. After a two-year spree. CASt suddenly disappeared and has not been heard from...until now. Gil Grissom and his CSI team are called in to investigate a homicide that perfectly fits the notorious criminal's modus operandi. But all hell breaks loose when a reporter made famous by the original cases receives a letter from someone claiming to be CASt - and who says he has nothing to do with the latest slaying. Now the CSIs must stop someone who may be a copycat killer from striking again...even as a murderer from the past continues to evade capture, and isn't taking too kindly to rivals...

If you like CSI on TV, then you will enjoy reading this book about all of the characters and Captain Brass's 10 year 9old serial killer case--a copycat serial killer and the original killer does not like rivals--good reading 'til the very end

Ten years ago, Las Vegas was terrorized by "CASt", a vicious serial killer responsible for nearly half a dozen brutal murders, and who tested the minds of CSI's new Captain Jim Brass. After a 2 year spree, CASt suddenly disappeared and has not been heard from until now. Grissom and his CSI team have met their match as they are called to investigate more murders seemingly from this killer. However, there are many twists and turns in the case and it appears there is a copycat killer on the loose as well!

A serial killer from Brass' past resurfaces, and the team works overtime trying to outthink what appears to be a copycat. Captures the TV show's feel admirably.
This is the third of Max Allan Collins' CSI books that I have read. I plan on reading them all. Nice to have the internal visuals to accompany the book and for Mr. Collins to give me the internal dialogue that we do not have on screen. I recommend them highly. I may not re-post them because I have friends and family that are waiting until I finish the one's I have. Sorry. :) Maybe after they all finish I can offer them.

Brass is faced with a case from the past, his first case in LV. The characters are just like the tv series. A good book.
I really enjoyed reading this book. I loved watching the television series CSI so it was fun to see all the old cast from the series. I could picture all of them doing their jobs while following the clues in this story.

I can not give a rating for this book as I have not read it. This is a mass market paperback that is in excellent condition.
