This book, along with all of Montano's craft books, is absolutely amazing. It's not so much because of the individual projects; as another reviewer said, some of them do look "homemade," though others are absolute knockouts. It's because even a quick skim through this book can give you so many different ideas. There are items in here that you would never think had a use (seriously? blank subscription cards from magazines?) but when you see how he incorporates them into his projects, it's impossible for your creativity not to be jump-started, too!!!

I actually thought this book was a little "cheesy". Some of the techniques are good, but most of the projects were seriously tacky.
A wonderful collection of crafts pretty much anyone can do (though much of it is funky and just for fun).
Mark Montano has an easy style that gives you permission to play and discover what works for you. He doesn't go deep with details, but gives enough information that most people could complete the projects they are interested in. I think his greater hope, though, is that readers will be inspired to take his ideas and use them as a springboard. For those who aren't comfortable crafting or experimenting with art techniques, this may feel frustrating. But if you embrace the "everyone is an artist" philosophy you will love these books for their inspiration alone.
