I enjoy the saga of Torin Kerr and her climb in the military. It's a good military sf series with some believable science in it. I find myself rooting for her love life or lack there of, lol.
She is a fully fleshed out character I enjoy and the story line is quite good. I'm reading the entire series.
In this one she's trapped in an alien ship with their arch nemisis inside, also. It appears another race is seeing who is the strongest or brightest.
She has to overcome the ship, the enemy and some of her own press to save the day. Worth reading

Military sci-fi - but focused more on people than hardware. Extremely likeable heroine who is part of a military force composed of humans and aliens. Great story that both men and women readers will enjoy.

Good Book - very true to military life
Derelict spaceship, same nasty boss, and cute guy makes for a fun book. Recommended. Better than #1.
