This book starts out by explaining chiles, tortillas, tamales, salsas, rellenos then starts with recipes - appetizers, snacks, soups, main dishes, meats, poultry, seafood, vegetables, salads, breads, desserts and beverages.
My son-in-law from Durango, Mexico, loved these recipes! He says they are the way his grandmother always cooked when he visited her every summer. He had me making tortilla soup, chicken mole with chocolate, Spanish omelet and much more. I have to say we both enjoyed this book!

this is a pretty awesome book about mexican cooking . i have owned this book for over 20 years and some of our most favorite recipes are in it . the recipes are pretty authentic [ what does a german know about authentic mexican recipes , except that we like them ???!!?!??] i have never had one recipe fail -- unless i goofed . my kids will cook out of it themselves . the ONLY reason i am ordering this book is , someone poured liquid over mine and ruined it . i recommend it .... [ my family would agree !!! ] .
