This one is the story of a history teacher who unearths a nasty secret about Amazons near the Black Sea. A Vietnam Vet and his family run into her in an amazingly pretty town. Then the horror starts as he learns that his family is being stalked by something. Nice twists and turns.

Took a while for me to get into and seemed rather predictable. Not a favorite McCammon book but still love the way he uses words to create memorable images.
