Very enjoyable spy novel. The main character is more common joe than james bond. I recommend the whole series.

Deighton at his "English" best. Good insight into what makes people tick...

Game, Set, Match find Bernard Samson in espinoge intrigue and so many twists and turns you might want to read all three in succession to keep track of the players. A great read, I recently reread the set. Was a PBS series.

It was fallen to Bernard Samson, himself once active in the field, to undertake the resuce. But before Bernard leaves London, he discovers there is a traitor amoung his colleagues--planted by Moscow.
