A truly fascinating, first-person story of life in Nazi Germany, made even more interesting by what's not there. The Forward states, "...parts of 1941 and 1942 and the beginning of 1943 are missing---destroyed deliberately, lost or beyond present reach." Add to that my book is missing page 251 through 282, so I wonder what went on in the dying days of the Third Reich from mid-February to late April 1945. And a nice feature is that the Epilogue relates what happened after the war to many of the people covered in the book.
