I wavered on the star rating, as this is not my type of book, so didn't know how to be fair. I have a bit of difficulty with fiction (which is meant to be read as nonfiction), without knowing how well it was researched, considering the closed environment that is North Korea. I am not questioning the persecution, rather the details. In searching the author's web page, I found no answers to this question.
With that said, I read this book in one afternoon, so it is definitely interesting and flows easily. There is much description of brutality, as the point of the book is to show the persecution of Christians in North Korea. The book is also uplifting, in that there are numerous occasions for God to work, within the context of a society which is trying its best to close God out.
Book was received in contest, with expectation of unbiased review.
