I read this book as part of a course in Anthropology of the Irish. It really is good at explaining the historical reasons behind the North/South conflist in Ireland. Written by an American Journalist, it gives a narrative of the struggles in Ireland.
Chock full of information. However, it was certainly more 'textbook,' than enjoyment book!
