When I first tried to read this book in the early 1990's, it actually scared me. The people that the author talked about were all in power and it seemed as if a giant conspiracy theory was uncovered. I was afraid Government agents were going to knock down my door and arrest me. Now 15 years later and having served that time in the Air Force, I realize how silly that all was. After reading this book, I realized the author either uncovered a vast secret and the government managed to cover it all back up or he is a looney. He had some interesting theories that I enjoyed reading about, most of them never came true. Especially the turn of the century things. I did enjoy the pieces on UFO's. And I must admit, I have spent the past 15 years working in the Air Force on the flightline and I never saw anything that looked like a UFO and believe me I looked. Not that I am dispelling anyone's beliefs. I am not vain enough to think that humans are the only intelligent life in the universe. But I don't think there are aliens on Earth harvesting humans for whatever they need their basic matter for. Some of the things in the book could have been left out. I'm really not sure what the author was trying to prove with those chapters. Stil...not a bad book.

"Bill Cooper was a former U.S. Naval Intelligence Briefing Team Member. In his book he reveals information allegedly kept secret by our government since the 1940s. UFOs, the J.F.K.. assassination, the Secret Government, the war on drugs and more.

It is important to keep in mind that this book was published before the attack on the World Trade Center because the US is finding itself in exactly the position Cooper predicted.

I read this book while I was in college while Bill Cooper was still alive. William Cooper, seemingly paranoid, claimed that he would be shot to death on his own property. True to his "fate," he was gunned down in precisely this manner years after publishing the book and settling down in Arizona. Whether you believe his conspiracy theories or not - I admire his perseverance to voice his theories without fear. President Bill Clinton called him ". . . the most dangerous radio host in America."

I don't believe every "theory" in this book - however, it did open my eyes as a young college student. I am a free thinker thanks to Bill Cooper."
