It is really nice to see a survivalist science fiction series geared exclusively toward girls that does not include vampires and werewolves. My 9 year old daughter loves these books and is desperately waiting for the fourth installment due out next month. As a whole the series is intriguing without being overly dramatic. Very well done futuristic series for the 9-12 set.

My 11 yr old girl loves this series. It's age appropriate to young tweens and a good alternative for the non-princessy types.
