I got this book to help train for my first 10-K. It's chock-full of tips and advice, but the training programs are most valuable. It contains 13-week programs for run-walk to running, walking, running faster, and a walk-run maintenance program. All are great--they emphasize proper foundation to avoid injury and realize your goals.
