I was riveted to this book because it was written from the perspective of the main character. I felt his feelings & hoped it would all work out for him. And yet I wasn't sure who was telling the truth & who wasn't till the very end.
Super fun read, will have you guessing til the end. Great look at the era.
I love Patricia Wentworth, but this is not one of her better efforts. Plot was very convoluted, with red herrings all over the place. And no Miss Silver!
Wow! Plots within plots leave you almost gasping for breath. Will Car figure it all out before he is in a hopeless situation?
