This book had great potential. But for me it never gave me a chance to care about the characters, to learn about then or be invested in the story. It practically opens with the climax and then to me falls flat in creating a tale that is interesting. I gave up about half way through, I just really didn't care to find out the outcome if it meant reading more boring prose.

Hannah Reilly is happily married to Mark. She has the perfect marriage ... until the day her husband doesn't come home from his business trip.

Hannah begins a search ... and finds that everything he has ever told her has been a lie. His parents are not dead ... he did not meet his best friends in college .... and he has always refused to talk about his brother, Nick. On top of that, her back account has been wiped out.

When Mark finally shows up, she confronts him with his lies. And he tells her his version ...but is it really the truth ... or some more of his lies?

And when a female acquaintance is found murdered .... she fears for her very life.

This was a rare book I didn't like the characters. I couldn't connect with Hannah .. she seemed so naive for an adult woman. Mark was just too good to be true... until he wasn't.

This was just an okay book for me.

Hannah and Mark are newly married and she finds out everything he ever told or tells her is a lie. So, she decides to play detective and find out all she can about her new husband.

The book is BORING.....but I skimmed and don't know why I kept reading. However, the last third of the story was exciting, so I guess it was worth the time.
