The Bedtime of the Sky and Other Sleepy-Bye Stories, by Carolyn Wolfe and
illustrated by Leslie Mathis is a children's book containing 5 short stories she originally wrote for her nieces and nephews. The author uses poetry to make the stories more interesting for kids (and adults too!).

The first story, Dolly Dear is about a little girl's doll who comes alive at night and who helps the little girl clean her room. But was it all a dream?

If Mom Designed the Universe is a funny story, from a child's point of view, of what the world would be like if Mom was the creator.

I think my favorite of the five stories is There's a Dragon in My Sock Drawer, though. It's about the things that go on in a child's bedroom to cause such havoc and grief which cause missing socks, messy bed covers, and tangled clothes hangers. I wasn't brilliant enough to think of these things when I was little.

Here's an except from There's a Baby in the Sink, for your enjoyment:
So now I know that a Kitchen sink
Can be used for more than you would think
I suppose it could wash a dish or two..
But it's really for bathing my sister Sue....

These are fun bedtime stories, and I really enjoyed the illustrations. The girls and I will rotate this book with our other bedtime story books.
