Looked like a good book but never really got into it. I generally don't give up but this book is too much like something you read while in school- you read it because you had too. Don't waste your time on this one. Too many good ones out there more worth your time.

I'll admit, the title and description had me intrigued - probably the only reason I read it was because I won it (not something I would have picked out). I am not usually a fan of modern romances, not usually a fan of fantasy, but it still made for interesting reading. I almost put it down half way through, but plugged along. The plot was fun, the writing passable, but nothing that really stood out. Warren rushes through the emotions - they resist, now the love each other intensely - all in a few pages. It seems to be the first in a series - which I do not normally have a problem with - but Warren does not really give a complete story. The main characters seem to be featured through out the series, instead of different leads for each book; so there is no closure to their story. The whole thing is leading into the next book - I would probably wait until they are all out because they are more "to be continued" type books. But, I honestly don't know if I will even read the rest.

When I got to page 70 & realized I had no idea what the story was supposed to be about I put it down. This story just wasn't for me.

Samantha is a married, stay at home mom to twin boys, and a wonderful husband, in a suburban utopia. Except, nothing feels right to her, in fact it all feels very wrong. As it turns out, everything is very wrong, and she's living an illusion. Along comes Cor, who gives Sam the clues to break out of the cage she's in. Paranormal romance, the first in a series. Good story, with an interesting premise. The book leaves the reader with unanswered questions, enough to make me want to read the sequel. Lots of action, and humor.

I found BBB to be a good book. It left me feeling like an easy going beach read but it wasn't the fast paced kind. This type of book has action and romance but it does take some time to get to those parts so reader beware that patience is required when reading this novel. There is also a lot of things unresolved in this, book 1. Questions that go unanswered and a romance that has not really cemented. If your looking for book 1 to sum it all up in one novel, you'll be disappointed because this is a series where you'll need to keep reading on to the next book to satisy your curiosity. Where most Paranormal books have a hard, thriller type edge, Bedlam, Bath and Beyond has a softer edge which is different but still a great read if your willing to really give the book a chance. Personally this book was three and a half stars for me. I'm hoping the author keeps more of a steady action-paced story in book 2 though and I will definitely be reading book two, no question about it.
