Very straight forward & interesting perspective from Judge Judy. She tells it like it is and I wish I'd had her advice at a much younger age. I liked this book and I'd recommend it especially to older teens and young women starting out. It might help a lot of women steer clear of some of the problems my generation has gotten into.

Funny, but to the point. I guess her basic idea is that both women and men are happier in their relationships if women have self-respect and do not go against it solely to please men. However, Judy is realistic and points out that women should not expect to be able to change their men much, either. She tells us frankly about how she handled some of the problems that were causing her resentment in her own marriage. A good book for both men and women, although a few of the things she did were too passive-aggressive for me; they probably worked because her husband truly appreciates her and has a good sense of humor. A lesser man might have hauled off and punched her when she woke him up with clashing pot lid "cymbals" because for the umpteenth time she had gotten up in the night and sort of fallen into the toilet because the seat was up. (Her reasoning: If I am going to have a rude awakening in the night, then so are you!")

Every woman should be required to read this book. Judge Judy is brilliant and offers perfect advice. I just kept nodding and silently saying "Exactly!" to myself as I read this page-turner. This is self-help for the woman who thinks its okay to yield to what a man wants and give up her own wants and needs for him. Sadly, its likely only JJ fans and women who are already smart and independant will read this book. My favorite advice of JJ is the "Divorce Insurance" for marriage, because it is also sound for any relationship.

I thought this book was great. I enjoy Judge Judy's outspoken personality and she can tell a pretty funny story, too. I didn't agree with everything that she said, but it was worth the read, and there was a couple of times that I laughed out loud. It's a perfect afternoon read.

This lady cracks me up. She tells it like it is and if you don't like it, she calls you out on it. I wish there were more judges like her in the judicial system, it would run much more smoothly!

Judge Judy doesn't sugar coat her words - its out, its raw. My favorite chapter was "Do Not Abdicate". The enitre book is inspirational, instructional, motivational, and full of common sense and practical advice. Funny, quick tempered, and blunty honest.
