Steampunk Proper Romance--what the heck is that? Nor am I keen on shifters or vampires, but I am a fan of Allen's historical romances so I just jumped in. You should, too, because this is one spellbinding story that offers a unique twist on the Victorian age and cool gadgets, a terrifying ghost, an intelligent heroine, a broken hero, murder, romance--wow! I never thought that this combo could work but Allen proves otherwise. I loved it! 5 stars.
