Beauty for ashes was a major event for me. I struggled with abuse when I was young. this helped me so much. It is a great book to read if you need to understand that whatever you went through, there is no reason on earth or in heaven to be or feel guilty about what happened. When you struggle with the feelings that it was your fault you cannot always live the life you are going through. In this book Joyce shares what it was like and how it felt and how God brought her out of it, the emotional struggle and learning His Word and letting Him change her instead of trying to change herself. It will help you very much if you have went through any kind of abuse.

Joyce Meyer has a way with words. She definitely managed to write a book about a difficult subject, abuse, giving the reader hope to overcome past wounds. I recommend this book to anyone that was abused (emotionally, physically).
