Deputy Sheriff Jim Doe plunges into a renegade manhunt after the town's sheriff is gunned down. The suspect, a Native American, is connected to the disappearance of Doe's sister years before. Doe begins to realize his involvement in the case is not coincidental. Being Native American, Doe is often mistaken for the killer he is chasing. The involvement of the FBI seems to only make matters worse.
