The Beast Within had more promise than it delivered. It just kind of dragged for me. I didn't even finish it. For a good shapeshifter story, I'd recommend the Darkness Choosen series by Christina Dodd.

story with lots of great emotion! surprised to find so much deep emotion from a suspense novel. Both of the main characters were believable and heart-felt, and of course the story was a great one too.

The Beast Within is a great romance with a sci-fi twist that will keep you turning the pages. Great characters and even better plot.

This was more romance than paranormal, but a good book just the same. The focus was more on the relationship and adventure portion of the story. Those who want lots of the paranormal aspects in a "paranormal romance" might be a bit disappointed.
