This one had me going from the beginning. The voice actors are great (and numerous), and this is obviously not a low budget production. James Patterson is a new author for me, but I will continue to look for more of his works. This book was riveting from the beginning, and WOW, what an ending!

Good book. It had me until the very end - then I hated the surprise ending. You can tell you are reading the story of a good author when he makes you feel such strong emotions.

Great story in the usual Patterson way, until the end. VERY surprising ending. Blew me out of the water!

Holy cow! This book rocked me for a loop, that's for sure. I didn't have a clue and all the way up to the second-to-the-last chapter, it kept throwing the reader curve balls. Highly recommend this colarabation of James Patterson and Peter De Jonge and I just might have to keep this one for myself to listen to again down the road. Totally awesome!

Beach Road started out a little slow but sped up more and more towards the end. By the time I got to the last CD I couldn't believe the pace of the book. The last chapter left me feeling worn out like I just finished a run.

His client is the perfect fall guyunless he can find the key that unlocks the secret rooms of the gilt-shrouded set. When Dunleavy is joined by his former flame, the savvy and well-connected attorney, Kate Costello, he believes he has a chance. But payback is a bitchespecially from the rich. The violent retaliations of billionaires threatened by his investigation exceed anything Dunleavy has ever seen. With the entire nations eyes on him in a new Trial of the Century, Dunleavy orchestrates a series of revelations that lead to a stunning outcomeonly to find afterward that the truth is wilder than anything he ever imagined. This book will leave you guessing from start to finish. I never saw the end coming, and I can usually get it pretty fast. It's a not to miss book. Enjoy!

Great Patterson book! It totally blindsided me -- I didn't see the twist coming at all! Billy Baldwin (the actor) is one of the narrators and does an awesome job. I recommend this one.

This was one of my favorite James Patterson books! There were about 4 different readers and all were excellent, not to mention the enthralling plotline, and super surprise ending! I loved every single minute of it.

I'll echo everyone else's thoughts in that it was a very good read (listen) and the hook at the end was totally unexpected. But to be honest I was a bit bummed out by it. This is another one of those books on CD that makes you look forward to the morning and evening commutes.

I love James Patterson. This collaboration with Peter de Jonge was so well written with great dialogue. We were in the heads of the characters as well as looking at the story from a spectator aspect. I dont think this could be done as an abridgment as all parts are very important to the story line all the way up to shocking ending that kept unfolding to the very end. At one point I thought this couple was going to form a partnership and have a series. BOY was I surprised. AND you will not be disappointed.
