Not a book on learning how to construct baskets but a history of basketmakers in the Appalachian area. Loved reading the stories of the basketmakers and their different uses of the baskets.

The only thing that would have made this book better is if some the pictures of the baskets had been in color. Wonderful stories of the original owners or makers. Since I grew up in this area, it was like going home.
