This is a great story in this series. I love the mystery angle and I love her talking about the country side and how she is feeling at this juncture of her life with the changes she needs to decide to make. Her knowledge of horses and the country where she lives is wonderful. I love the decisions she makes and I do hope this is not the last in the series. She does such a great job. Early in the story there is a character who uses some foul language, but it is short lived and takes nothing from the story. Who ever reads this series and you really should start from the beginning to get the true flavor of this series, please enjoy as much as I do. The series ages with the author and that makes it very personal to those who read it. Great, grand series, loved it from the very beginning and have never been sorry I read it, from 1 to 12.

Make sure you read her books in Order, this is number 12. She adds onto her story. If you skip a book you may miss out on some information. Many of her characters show up in next stories.

Her son is old enough and she has to make the decision whether to return to being a Vet or watch the sun rise and set daily.

The whole book was about the trails that are near her home. When she was not riding the trails she was sitting on her porch just watching the world go by. She is very descriptive of her world. A map of the area she was talking about would have helped a lot. Book keeps you guessing about who the killer is.
