The quilts in this book are not bargello quilts. They are based on a block which has larger pieces on two sides than the remaining two sides, but that is where the similarity ends. Once these lopsided blocks are assembled, the resulting quilts really aren't very attractive. They are quite amateurish looking and often resemble plaids.

The book is well-produced and the photos are large and clear. However, the subject matter does not live up to its billing.
