This is the first novel I've read by this particular author, the commencing of the story had a plot similar to that of Kathleen Woodiwiss's "the flame and the flower. However unlike KW's Flame and the flower which I found to be absolutely wonderful while many reviewers found it distasteful; the bargain was somewhat a drag. The story started out fine enough with the hero, Brett being a domineering brute and the heroine left to his mercy. At first the misunderstandings between Brett and Ashleigh were ok but at some point during the last 200 or so pages they just became annoying. I started to literally fall asleep from boredom. Therefore this will definitely be the last of Veronica Sattler for me. No offense to the author.

This book will keep you begging for more! The way that the hero and heroine enter, overcome their problems and find love is magnificant. The book will make you laugh, cry, and keep you on the edge of your seat.
