This was a real slam-bang read! Picked it up and didn't put it down again 'til I was done. Great characters, super-smart and snappy dialogue, and a plot that speeds right along ... I can't wait for this guy to turn out another book! Not your typical crime thriller, more original than most, definitely recommended! Be aware, though, that it is brutal, bloody, and profane ... this ain't no mundane "cozy" crime novel, folks (thank the gods for that!!).

The author takes a fresh approach casting the bad guy as the protagonist. You will want him to prevail. Imaginative twists in character relationships move the plot forward to its (arguably) inevitable conclusion. Characters, even minor ones, are so well drawn that you will have a real visual image of each of them. Gangsta language may be a bit hard to digest, but you will get the gist. Highly recommended for fans of hard core crime fiction.
