Bandit: Dossier of a Dangerous Dog
Bandit Dossier of a Dangerous Dog
Author: Vicki Hearne
Vicki Hearne's dramatic report from the front lines of the "pit bull wars" is a penetrating inquiry into the appropriate relations between animals and the human world, a song of praise for the "dance of friendship" between animals and people, and a hell of a dog story.

I tried really hard to like this book but could only get about halfway through. The author's long winded, flowery philosophizing was incredibly annoying and a huge detraction from the story. I felt like I was reading a big-headed honors student's Western Lit term paper.

A very good book by an extremely knowledgable author.
