Might be low fat, but the high carb count isn't all that good for some people either.

Book isn't worth the price or the trade!

BAKING WITHOUT FAT is an amazing book. I knew about adding applesauce for a portion of the fat (oil, shortening, etc.) but this book removes it all! The recipes have been adjusted so the ingredients are in in the correct portions to create a delicious copy of a high-fat item without the high fat.

As we grow older, we cannot consume all the fat our bodies would happily accept in younger years. If you have a sweet tooth, the choice has been to do without sweets or eat something that had little-or-no taste. Folks who continue to consume high levels of fat are setting their bodies up for a variety of diseases, one of which is the dreaded sugar diabetes.

This book offers an alternative. Yes, desserts need to be restricted; but this cookbook offers the opportunity to eat some sweet items without guilt. Of course, these foods are not calorie-free; I don't think there are many foods/liquids that are (other than water).

There are a variety of recipes, not just cakes. However, I must add that when I saw how easy it was to make a fat-free cheesecake (several varieties), I realized that there can be heaven-on-earth. Great book!
