This was a new author to me. I'm very impressed with his writing and would compare it to James Patterson's Cross series.

This is the fifth book in the "Jack Reacher" series that I have read, and I was NOT disappointed. Every one of the books is a completely separate story; you don't have to read them in order - and although there may be one or two sentences in the entire book that you'll say "oh ya, I remember that from another story" -- it will not at all leave you feeling like you missed something even if this is the first book you've read in the series.
Even though Jack Reacher is the main character, there is excellent character development of the 'supporting players' as well. At the end of every chapter I kept saying "ok I'll just read one more chapter and then put it down". Didn't happen - I just could not put this one down until I was finished with it.

Farfetched and fun. A book you enjoy but don't quite know why when looking back on it. Lee Child's plots and the antics of Jack Reacher seem to grow more over the top with each novel.

Another good Jack Reacher read by Lee Child. I have read every Jack Reacher novel and think they just keep getting better. The story content involves another unique situation Reacher encounters and brings into play his past and present with ex members of his special investigators team. My only complaint would be that it seems a little drawn out in sections and includes too much mathmatical information. This is a well thought out story line beginning to end and flows smoothly.

This 11th offering of Reacher and his compadres was a pure pleasure. It's another of those that you won't want to put down until the last word is devoured. Reacher is such a likeable protagonist, and your heart tends to go out to him. Tough as the man is, he is absolutely, devotedly loyal to his former team members and will do anything to help them--or to avenge their deaths, if it comes down to that.

This was actually the first Jack Reacher book I read and now I am hooked. Very different from other books I read, but Child's writing is easy to follow but not boring. Great suspense!

I've read all the Jack Reacher books up to this point and I think this one might be my favorite!!! Jack meets up with a few of his fellow MP's from the past to figure out who is killing their friends!!! I saw Jack in a different light! He is a leader and trusts if fellow MP's 150%!!! It's a fantastic read!!! You don't mess with the speacial investigators!!! I wish he was real!!

Tightly plotted with a flow of language rarely seen. A good book to get lost in and surface only for food and water.

Great story, Reacher's old unit is in trouble. He gathers all of the members that he can find and they begin a search for the other 3 members.
The story is full of twists and turns and surprizes and danger. Reacher is great, back as the commander of his unit from 10 years previously.
They are fighting international terrorists and local traitors. Their lives are in great danger and they have several very close calls.
Reacher is at his best. I really loved this book.

This was a new author for me...and I love when I strike gold! This book had me totally sucked in, waiting to see what was going to happen next. I really enjoyed the character of Jack Reacher - he reminds me a little bit of one of my all-time favorite television characters, Jack Bauer from "24". I plan to read more of Lee Child's books that include Reacher.
very good read

The leader of a special ops group gets a call from a former member. They'd disbanded years before but he needed help now. Unfortunately he was to late. A couple of others disappear or are found in the desert with no tracks showing how they got there or died. The rest band together one more time.
They've stumbled into a conspiracy that will make 9/11 look small. Well written and the plot does keep you guessing.
Good enough I'll read more of the series.

This is my first book read by Lee Child. It moves right along and is keeping my interest. It kind of reminds me of The A Team, an old television show. Anyhow, I will definately read Lee Child books again.
Jack's inherantly appealing for his extreme lifestyle and the mysteries are always good.

I thought it was a bit of a slow read for this series. The condition of the book is great though.

Stayed up late last night to finish this one - I couldn't leave Reacher hanging! This is number 11 in the Reacher series and again Child has not slacked off. In this one Reacher gets together with the remaining members of a group of investigators who worked with Reacher in the Army. They are looking into the death(s) of the other members of the group who were apparently thrown out of a helicopter over the desert outside of Los Angeles. Well, you just don't mess with Reacher and his friends! This one also involves a possible terrorist attack, some sleazy ex-cops, and it is one heck of a ride. High recommendation for this and all of the Reacher series!
Another Jack Reacher page turner. So enjoying this series, and now the Amazon video series. This particular book will be next up on Amazon Video; can't wait to see it!
Another amazing plot. Such an imagination with a twist.

Contemporary thriller by Lee Child, Book 11 of the Jack Reacher series. Reacher gets a distress call from an Army buddy. What he learns is that four former MPs are dead or missing. This book is every bit as good as I remember the earlier novels were. Great story. Love Reacher.
Very good Read.
Typical Jack taking names and then killing them. Old crew gets together from army days. You don't mess with the Special Investigators.

And on the streets of Portland, Jack Reacher is pulled out of his wandering life-plunged into the heart of a conspiracy that is killing old friends...and the people he once trusted with his life. Reacher is the ultimate loner-no phone, no ties, no address. But a woman from his old military unit has found him-using a signal only the eight members of their elite team would know. Then she tells him a terrifying stsory-about the brutal death of a man they both served with...Soon Reacher is reuniting with the survivors of this old team, scrambling to unravel the sudden disappearance of two other comrades. But Reacher won't give up-because inta world of bad luck and trouble, when someone targets Jack REacher and his team, they'd better be ready for what comes right back at them.
Very intense Jack Reacher story that involves his former army investigation unit members being killed, one by one. When he's contacted by one of the 4 survivors, they band together to track down the killers. The more they delved into the mysterious deaths, they realized that the orders for the deaths (including their own) were coming from very high up! Good read!
Lee Child continues to deliver the high quality suspense novel that he is known for. I read this book as soon as it arrived, and it is going on the shelf so I read it again some day.
Lee Child's books always deliver a "cannot put it down" reading experience!

I was disappointed in the last Reacher book I read, however, this one does not disappoint. I read it in two days while still managing to eat, breathe and work. It keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next. Reacher is in top form, as well as introducing some of his old comrades in arms. A great exciting read full of Reacher twists and turns.
another great jack reacher novel. Do not miss any of them.
Excellent book
For some reason, I've read a number of the Reacher books out of order, but let me say that it doesn't seem to matter. Lee Child keeps you on the edge of your seat and doesn't let go. An other great read by Mr. Child!
Another Lee Child book featuring Jack Reacher. He joins back up with his buddies from the special investigation unit he created in the Army. Couldn't put this one down!!!
Another Reacher classic
Always a thrilling read!
This book goes back to some of his crew from is service days. Which will give a little bit of background into the man Jack has become! Great read!,

Am in the process of reading all the Jack Reacher books in order, although all are stand alone stories. I just can't imagine Tom Cruise as Jack. Jack is ten inches taller and 80 pounds heavier than Tom. What were the producers thinking?
Another great Lee Child novel. Makes you love Reacher!
Great page turner.....2 days reading...don't miss it.
From the first shocking scenes in Lee Childs explosive new novel, Jack Reacher is plunged like a knife into the heart of a conspiracy that is killing old friendsand is on its way to something even worse.
A decade postmilitary, Reacher has an ATM card and the clothes on his backno phone, no ties, and no address. But now a woman from his old unit has done the impossible and finds Reacher. She tells him a terrifying storyabout the brutal death of a man they both served with. Soon Reacher is reuniting with the survivors of his old team, and connect the dots in a mystery that is growing darker by the day.
For now, Reacher can only react. Then Reacher will trust the people he once trusted with his lifeand take this thing all the way to the end. Because in a world of bad luck and trouble, when someone targets Jack Reacher and his team, theyd better be ready for what comes right back at them
