How many of you out there reading this are fans of Alex Delaware and Milo Sturgis - c'mon, let's see some hands! It goes without saying, I am! I realize that some of you, don't know Alex and Milo from Milo and Stitch, but I think this book will draw you into the adventure/mystery zone so that you will want to seek out and GET other Jonathan Kellerman books!

This particular novel starts out innocently enough - the postman delivers a package to Alex, who, like many of us in PBS thinks is a textbook that he forgot ordering (sound familiar?), anyway he opens the package to find not a book, but an audio cassette. Playing the cassette, he hears screaming and an emotionless voice of a child chanting "Bad Love, Bad Love, don't give me the Bad Love". Pretty creepy huh? Alex shrugs it off as a prank, and so does Milo, but when the "pranks" turn violent, the dynamic duo must figure out who is behind it, before they (whoever they are) decide to finish the game - permanently! You're off an another mystery!!!!

As in most Jonathan Kellerman books, he does an excellent job of presenting a rich cast of characters, intelligent, believable story lines, and just the proper mix of suspence, drama, and comedic relief.
All designed to keep you wanting more - more!

This particular book/audio is an excellent study of the psychology of the psychotic (did that make sense?) You'll find yourself straining at-the-bit to find out who is committing all the murders, and more importantly, WHY! It's like Kellerman includes you in the quest!

If you're familiar with Kellerman's writings, you know that he gives detailed descriptions of his characters and their locations. Well, to be honest with you, I think he went a little overboard this time - I mean he describes EVERYTHING, to an exacting detail. If I see a Hot Dog, I know it's a hot dog, I don't really have to know everything thats in it!!!! I wouldn't feel right putting mustard and relish on a "tubular processed meat by-product", would you?

One NEW thing has crept into the Delaware series - a cute little stray dog - Spike !!!!

If you've read Kellerman before, you know what you're getting here - if you haven't, you might be opening up the door to a whole new world of adventures - Alex Delaware/Milo Sturgis - the modern day Holmes/Watson!

I think you'll like it!

Enjoy!
