I remember watching this world series with my dad as a young kid. It is the first baseball memory that I can really remember. I never realized the truth about the team until after reading this book. It was eye opening to read about this team... Everyone knows ball players live interesting lives. I loved how the book used mainly first account stories to paint the real picture of the 1986 New York Mets.

Now I understand what happened to that club. Excellent book that finally tells the story of what the team was like, the personalities and why they won.
