I love the diversity of the characters. I also was dying to know who the ringleader (sorta kinda anyway) was. Another great read in the series.

I enjoyed this book a lot; a real page-turner. Engrossing story, kept moving right along. Some unexpected twists, as well.

BACKFIRE - FBI Thriller by Catherine Coulter - - is loaded with murder, mayhem, suspense, cyber intelligence that involves computer virus' & worms, international spy ring, espionage, conspiracy, serial killers and one complex twisted puzzle that will take multiple government agencies to unravel.

Five years ago, Federal Judge Ramsey Hunt rescued a 6 year little girl (Emma) that had been kidnapped, beaten and raped by a crazed excommunicated priest thinking that Emma could absolve him. "THE TARGET" Eventually, Ramsey becomes Emma's adopted Father and marries her Mother Molly. Today, Emma is 11 years old and a brilliant pianist. Ramsey and Molly have 3 year twin boys to add to the happy Hunt family.

Federal Judge Ramsey Hunt has grown suspicious of Prosecutor Mickey O'Rourke's behavior and actions during the Cahill trial and is calling a halt to determine if there has been illegal activity. The Cahill's are accused of murdering Mark Lindy a genius computer engineer specializing in cyber-intelligence virus' & the infamous Stucknet Worm Theory.

Something is very wrong! O'Rourke has gone missing. Ramsey has been shot and is in ICU barely hanging onto life. People are dying and investigators from the FBI, CIA, and CAU along with local law enforcement officers are crawling out of the wood work to find the assassin or assassins. Could there be a traitor? Is this about stealing our country's government secrets? Is it a spy? How many are involved?

Find a comfortable seat on the sofa because this one is a "brain twister"! There are so many twists and turns you will become dizzy!

This book was great...another FBI thriller from Catherine Coulter! Her mystery books are always a good read. I hope she continues to write of Sherlock and Savich.

An entertaining book and a good read on the continuing adventures of Dylan Savage and his partner Lacey Sherlock. Not a whodunit, not a lot of mystery, but a really good story with really good characters
