I really felt like I was in Boston while reading this book. I loved the John Hancock history and personality details, even if not everything was true, of course.

This is a great mix of historical fiction / mystery / romance. The story weaves between several characters in different eras, but manages to all make sense for a complete book in the end.

I read a lot and it takes a lot to hold my interest for over 500 pages. This book did it in spades. Of course, historical fiction is one of my favorites. Throw in a mystery, a myriad of characters over a span of 200 years and you have a mix that's hard to beat in my opinion. I recommend this book for anyone who enjoys historical fiction and who has ever even visited Boston. I was sorry to see it end.
