The Bachelor List is the first of a the remarkable series about three "spirited sisters that harbor a secret that could scandalize all of London..." Constance, Prudence and Chastity will keep you entertained throughout their story's. Prudence's story will unfold in The Bride Hunt and Chastity will find true love in "The Wedding Game". I thoughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the remaining two books in this trilogy.

This is the first in a trilogy about 3 sisters. This is Constance's story of finding love. It was a fun read with multiple characters and story lines all coming together. The next two books are "The Bride Hunt" and "The Wedding Game". This is my first book by Jane Feather and I am glad I took a chance.

There "are three books in this enchanting trilogy about the adventures of the Honorable Misses Duncan, three resourceful sisters who are far ahead of their time - and stirring up romance wherever they go" Also loved "The Bride Hunt" and "The Wedding Game"
Helpful Score: 1
I've read many Jane Feather books and, in general, I have enjoyed them; this one, however, was somewhat disappointing. It may be because it takes place in 1906, which is is a few decades later than the periods I enjoy the most ... who knows? You may really like it. It is the first in a trilogy about the Duncan Sisters ... I may or may not read the rest of the series.
enjoyed the series - light romance
This is a book from a Trilogy. The second is THe Bride Hunt and the Third is The Wedding Game.
This is part of a 3 book set. Good stories.
Part of a trilogy...romance based in historical time periods/events..
This was a light and entertaining read. The heroine was not a timid virgin, which was a nice change for a historical romance.
I'm looking forward to reading more of this authors work.

In this exhilarating new trilogy from NY Times bestselling author Jane Feather, a trio of spirited sisters secretly run a thriving matchmaking service. But these three good catches of impeccable pedigree have little interest in matrimony themselves until, one by one, they meet their matches...
Jane Feather has, once again, created characters that are funny, witty, and real. You'll be sorry to see them go once you've finished the book, but thankfully, you'll see them two more times in the book's sequels: The Bride Hunt and The Wedding Game.

I always enjoy her books.
#1 of the Duncan sisters. Constance is busy with her reformist paper "The Mayfair Lady", & butts heads with conservative bachelor politician Max Ensor. Sparks fly.
Good easy read. Great, interesting characters. It would be interesting to see how this relationships pans out in the later books since Max and Constance have opposing views on women's suffrage among other things.
Loved story
First book of a series. Can't wait to read the next books to see what these sisters are up to next. Enjoyed this very much.

This is the first book in the Bride series.
Constance Duncan may be the eldest of three sisters, but she has more important things on her mind than finding a husband -- for herself, at any rate. Through the Personals services of her popular newspaper, THE MAYFAIR LADY, Constance connects lonely hearts. But her own heart lies in her work, and nothing will distract her from it -- until she finds herself irresistibly drawn to a man of disastrously different views. Max Ensor is a politician whose outmoded attitudes outrage her -- even as his powerful presence intrigues her. Clearly there is only one thing to do with such an exasperating man: convert him! Little does Constance know that Max has the same plan in mind for her.... What follows is a fiercely passionate duel in which two headstrong people discover that, differences or not, sometimes one gender cannot -- will not -- do without the other.

Constance Duncan and her two sisters are trying to manage household funds as their father's spendthrift ways threaten their late-nineteenth-century social status. In order to make money, the sisters secretly write a newspaper and start a matchmaking service for wealthy Londoners. Constance uses the gossipy newspaper as a forum for her suffragette cause, attracting the attention of Max Ensor, a newly elected member of Parliament. He has antiquated ideas about women, and suspects that Constance is involved with the women's movement. He hopes to use her as entree to the group, while Constance sees him as someone she can sway and use to support her cause. What neither of them counts on is the immediate and very physical attraction between them.

Constance Duncan, the eldest of three headstrong sisters, throws down the gauntlet to handsome member of Parliament Max Ensor when she declares that women's suffrage is the driving force of her existence. In return, Max makes no bones of his opinion that women shouldn't vote, a stance firmly backed by his powerful friends. When Max and Constance's prickly verbal battles flare into hotly sexual encounters, both seize the chance to do behind the scenes (or beneath the covers) scouting for their respective parties, even as they wonder what falling in love with the enemy will do to their careers.
