Cardboard pages for small hands, but from 25 to 50 words per page, so NOT for the youngest readers. STORY: The Mouse-With-No-Name gives Santa Clause a gift (cheese he had been saving for an entire year, yum!), and Santa Clause names him "Santa Mouse" and asks him to be his helper. Santa gives him a red suit and beard, and Santa Mouse goes along with Santa Clause to give gifts to good children. Children are asked to leave out a small piece of cheese on Christmas Eve. Odd story, I don't know where the "Baby" comes from in the title, but the book has very charming pictures by Izawa and Hijikata.
