Book 3 in the Konigsburg, Texas series. Book 1 is Venus in Blue Jeans and Book 2 is Wedding Bell Blues. Overall, I liked this story, but many of the secondary characters were either dropped or barely made an appearance in this book. This was disappointing for me becasue these characters played big roles in the first two novels.
The premise of the story is that Jess is running away from her late husband's family to protect her infant son, Jack. She ends up in Texas trying to stay under the radar when she meets Lars, who's looking for a babysitter for his 2 year old named Daisy. Weird things start to happen and with the threat that Jess is in trouble spurs Lars to step in as her protector. The end is a bit hurried, but overall it is a good story.
I would highly recommed that these books be read in order.
